Washer Repair — Book a Visit Today
Washers work hard here. Hard water leaves scale on valves and heaters. Garage laundry rooms bake all summer, and that heat is rough on control boards and rubber hoses. Most calls we run come down to a few families of failure: a drain pump jammed with lint or a coin, worn bearings that howl on spin, a lid switch or door lock that stops the cycle cold, a leaking hose, or a board that no longer reads the sensors. A visit starts with a run of the cycle so we can hear and see the fault ourselves. We test parts, not guesses. Then we explain what we found in plain words before anything gets replaced. Call us and describe what the machine is doing.

The washer symptoms we hear most
- It fills, then just sits there Lid switch, door lock, or a control board that never gets the go-ahead
- Water's still sitting in the drum Blocked drain pump, clogged filter, or a kinked drain hose
- Sounds like a jet on spin Worn tub bearings or a failing drive motor coupler
- Puddle under the machine after every load Split fill hose, cracked tub seal, or a leaking pump housing
- Clothes come out soaked and heavy Spin problems from a broken belt, motor issue, or an off-balance sensor
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1 Pull the plug or flip the breaker before you touch anything inside the machine.
- 2Look behind the washer for a drain hose that got crushed against the wall or kinked.
- 3Check the small filter door at the front bottom for lint, coins, or a stray sock.
- 4Open the lid and shift a heavy load around, then restart to see if a balance fault clears.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call us or fill in the form and describe what you hear, smell, or see. Water on the floor. A clicking compressor, a burning odor. Small details narrow the cause before anyone drives out.
- Step 2
We schedule the visit
You pick a window that fits your day, and we confirm the make and model so common parts ride along in the van. Tell us if the unit sits in the garage or on the patio. Heat changes what we check first.
- Step 3
Diagnose and repair
Our technician tests the unit, explains what failed, and lays out your options in plain words. Most repairs finish that same visit. If a part has to be ordered, you'll know before we leave.

Washer Repair — quick answers
Why does my washer stop mid-cycle?
Usually the machine lost a signal it needs to continue. A lid switch, door lock, water level sensor, or thermistor can fail and leave the cycle hanging. Sometimes the control board itself is at fault. Testing each part tells us which one it is.
Is a loud spin worth fixing?
Often yes. A roar or grinding on spin points to tub bearings or a drive component. We look at the age of the machine, the condition of the drum and shaft, and what parts are available, then lay out the choice for you.
My washer smells musty. What causes that?
Front-loaders trap moisture in the door gasket and detergent drawer. Film from too much soap feeds the smell. Cleaning the gasket fold, running a tub-clean cycle, and leaving the door ajar between loads usually clears it. Persistent odor can mean a slow drain.
Does hard water hurt a washer?
It does over time. Scale builds on valve screens, heating elements, and sensors, which slows fills and confuses the control. We clean or replace affected parts. A softener or periodic descaling cycle helps the machine last longer in our water.
Can a washer sit in the garage all summer?
Many do here. Heat is hard on control boards and rubber hoses, and dust settles in the works. Keep it out of direct sun, replace hoses when they feel stiff, and expect a bit more wear than an indoor unit sees.
How do I get ready for the visit?
Clear a path to the machine and move laundry baskets aside. Have the model number handy, usually on a sticker inside the door or on the back panel. Tell us the noise, the error code, or the point in the cycle where it quits.
