Dryer Repair — Book a Visit Today

We fix dryers that won't heat, won't turn, or won't dry, and you can call us to tell us what yours is doing. Out here a dryer fights dust, long vent runs, and garage heat that never lets up. Heating elements burn out. Thermal fuses blow once lint chokes the vent, drum rollers flatten and rumble, belts snap, and control boards stop reading the moisture sensor so the cycle runs forever on damp towels. A visit starts with the symptom you describe. Then we take airflow and heat readings, walk the vent path, and check the element, fuse, and thermostats. You hear what failed and what it takes to fix it before we start. We work on all major brands as an independent shop.

Dryer Repair — residential dryer being serviced

The dryer symptoms we hear most

  • Runs and runs, clothes still damp Restricted vent, weak airflow, or a failed moisture sensor
  • Tumbles but blows cold air Burned heating element, open thermal fuse, or bad thermostat
  • Screeching every time the drum turns Worn drum rollers, dry idler pulley, or failing rear bearing
  • Motor hums, drum sits still Broken belt, seized pulley, or a stalled drive motor
  • Outside of the dryer feels scorching Blocked lint path trapping heat, plus vent buildup in a hot garage

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Pull the lint screen and clean it, then check that the screen housing below is not packed with fuzz.
  • 2Look behind the dryer for a crushed or kinked flex vent hose.
  • 3Make sure the door latch clicks and the door switch is not stuck, since a loose door stops the cycle.
  • 4Reset the breaker for an electric dryer, or confirm the gas shutoff valve is open on a gas model.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call us or fill in the form and describe what you hear, smell, or see. Water on the floor. A clicking compressor, a burning odor. Small details narrow the cause before anyone drives out.

  2. Step 2

    We schedule the visit

You pick a window that fits your day, and we confirm the make and model so common parts ride along in the van. Tell us if the unit sits in the garage or on the patio. Heat changes what we check first.

  3. Step 3

    Diagnose and repair

Our technician tests the unit, explains what failed, and lays out your options in plain words. Most repairs finish that same visit. If a part has to be ordered, you'll know before we leave.

Dryer Repair — quick answers

Why does drying take two cycles now?

Airflow, almost every time. Lint builds up in the vent duct, so moist air cannot leave the drum. Heat stays trapped, clothes stay damp, and the machine works harder for nothing. A clogged vent also stresses the element and fuse, which is how a small problem turns into a part replacement.

Does garage heat hurt a dryer?

It does. In a 115-degree garage the dryer pulls in air that is already hot, so cycles run longer and parts sit near their limits. Motors and control boards age faster out there. Good vent flow and a clear space around the cabinet help a lot.

My dryer keeps blowing the thermal fuse. Why?

A thermal fuse is a safety part. It opens when the machine overheats, and overheating almost always traces back to blocked airflow. Replace only the fuse and leave the vent alone, and it blows again. We check the whole vent path before we call the job done.

Is a loud thumping worth fixing?

Usually yes. Thumping and rumbling point to drum rollers, the idler pulley, or a worn rear bearing. Those are wear parts. Left alone, a failing roller can score the drum or shred the belt, and then you are into a much bigger repair.

Gas or electric, does it change the repair?

The heat source differs. Gas dryers use an igniter, gas valve coils, and a flame sensor, while electric models use a heating element and a high-limit thermostat. We still diagnose airflow first either way. The parts and safety checks are not interchangeable.

How long does a typical repair take?

Belts, rollers, elements, and fuses usually get handled in one visit when the part is on the truck. Control boards or less common models may need an order. After diagnosis we tell you which situation you are in.

Why homeowners call us

  • Built for desert heatSummer here punishes appliances. Compressors run long, coils choke on fine dust, and garage refrigerators fight ambient air near 115 degrees. We look for heat-driven failures first, because that's usually where the trouble started.
  • Any major brandWe work as an independent company on all major residential brands: refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, ovens, and freezers. One crew handles both the kitchen and the laundry room, so you aren't juggling separate calls.
  • Straight explanationsYou hear what part failed and why, without a wall of jargon. If a repair doesn't make sense on an aging unit, we say that too. Then you're deciding with real information instead of guesswork.
  • Six-state coverageFrom Surprise out across the Southwest, our service area covers six states. The approach doesn't change from town to town: careful diagnosis, a tidy work area, and a clear plan before we start pulling anything apart.
  • All major brands, gas & electricWhirlpool, Samsung, LG, GE, Maytag, Bosch, KitchenAid and more — as an independent repair company.
